Filipino Ghibli film fans, brace yourself for a movie treat!
Japanese animation studio Ghibli Inc.'s animated film "The Boy and the Heron", also titled "How Do You Live?", is coming to the Philippine theaters in November!
Encore Films, a Singapore-based film distribution and production company, hinted at the film's premiere in the country on its official Facebook page last Sunday, Oct. 22.
"We are not sure who is waiting for this…#theboyandtheheron #hayaomiyazaki #encorefilms," it captioned in the post.
Attached to the post is the animated film's official poster.
"The Boy and the Heron" is now included in Ayala Mall Cinema's sureseats website.
Based on the information posted on the website, the tentative date of the animated film showing is Nov. 29, 2023.

In September, Studio Ghibli Inc. dropped the official trailer of "The Boy and the Heron" which was directed by critically acclaimed Japanese director and Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki.
According to the Japanese animation studio, "The Boy and the Heron" is a semi-autobiographical fantasy that centers on life, death, and creation, in tribute to friendship.
The adventure drama film will also arrive in the United States and Canada theaters on December 8.
"The Boy and the Heron" was first shown at the 48th edition of the Festival in September this year.
