Netflix revealed the official trailer for “The Atypical Family” starring Jang Ki-yong, marking his first project after completing his mandatory military service.
“Once blessed with unique superpowers, a family loses their abilities due to modern day problems — until a mysterious woman changes everything,” the logline read.
The trailer follows Do Da-hae who gets enmeshed in Bok Gwi-joo and his family who are born with supernatural powers. The family believes that she holds the key to gaining their powers back.
“She’s the savior who’s come to restore all of our powers,” the family’s matriarch, Bok Man-heum, said.
Joining Jang Ki-yong are Chun Won-hee, Ko Du-shim, Claudia Kim, and Park So-yi.
The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform on May 4.
