Thai media management GMMTV announced on Monday that one of their actors, Tay Tawan (Vihokratana) tested positive of CoVid19.
Last week, the BL actor announced that he tested negative on his swab test. However, on the 24th, he started experiencing mild fever and cough. He went to get another CoVid19 test and the result came out positive today, April 26.
Based on the memo issued by GMMTV, Tay no longer has cough nor fever but he will still be admitted to a hospital and continue his treatment.
In line with this, the management and Tay already informed those he came in close contact with, of his test result. Also, all his schedules will be put on hold until Tay recovers fully from CoVid19.
Tay Tawan is the latest Thai actor to be tested positive of the respiratory virus. Fellow GMMTV artists Off Jumpol and Nanon Korapat. Korapat has been discharged from the hospital and is now recovering at home.
Tay Tawan is one-half of one of the most popular BL couples in Thailand, "TayNew". He has appeared in "Kiss the Series", "Kiss Me Again", "3 Will be Free", "Dark Blue Kiss", and recently "The Gifted:Graduation", among others.
Lately, there have been a surge in CoVid19 cases in Thailand. On Monday, April 26, they registered 2,048 new cases and eight deaths.
Stricter health protocols have once again been imposed to curve the numbers.
