The United States secured a spot in the next round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup after defeating Greece, 109-81, on Monday, August 29, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Austin Reaves scored 15 points while Jalen Brunson and Anthony Edwards both chipped in 13 points for the second win of Team US in the tournament.

The Americans never let go of the lead after a three-point basket by Jaren Jackson Jr. put them up, 12-10, in the first quarter.

The five-time World Cup champions went into an 11-point run in the final period which put the Greeks in a 30-point hole, 101-71, before a dunk by Thanais Antetokoumpo ended the bleeding.
