The Philippine team began their campaign with a decisive victory over Twisted Minds last Wednesday, followed by back-to-back 2-0 wins against Team Spirit from Russia and HomeBois from Malaysia on Friday.
In their match against Team Spirit, Liquid ECHO employed a high-mobility lineup featuring Mathilda, Lou Yi, Yu Zhong, and Baxia. Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales on Natan showcased his prowess with a 7-1-9 KDA, while Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya's Paquito executed a decisive backdoor maneuver that clinched the game.
Veteran jungler Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno played a crucial role in securing jungle objectives, with Sanford earning the MVP with a commendable 2-3-9 KDA.
Liquid ECHO's momentum continued in their final group stage match against HomeBois. They exhibited impeccable discipline in game one, not conceding any deaths until the seven-minute mark.
Bennyqt’s excellent marksmanship on Beatrix earned him the MVP citation with a 10-1-1 KDA.
In game two, the team closed the series with a lopsided 27-8 kill score, dominating from early to late game and securing a 10k gold lead. Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz shined as the MVP on Chip with a 4-2-15 KDA.
With this stellar performance, Team Liquid ECHO now sets their sights on the MSC knockout stage, aiming to exceed their third-place finish from last year.
