A male teacher in an elementary school in Sampaloc, Manila, was reportedly suspended for allegedly sending explicit photos to students in a messenger group chat.
Interviewed on DZRH Dos Por Dos on Tuesday, February 27, Mark Noel Ponce, the father of one of the victims, said the suspension was imposed on the teacher amidst a pending case hearing.
"Sa una, tahimik lang siya [teacher]. Nang tumagal na, inamin niya na ang mga sinabi niya, sinend niya. Inamin niya lahat na nagawa niya lang kasi lito lang ang isip niya, naguguluhan lang siya," Ponce said.

According to the father, his daughter was only the one who mustered bravery to raise the concern.
"Bale kami lang ang nagreklamo kasi ang iba[ng students] medyo naano silang humarap para magreklamo dahil sa nangyari sa group chat," Ponce said.
The suspended teacher has expressed remorse for his behavior, but the father said he cannot forgive him.
"Ang ginawa niyang trauma sa anak ko, parang hindi ko kayang bigyan ng pagkakataon," he stressed.
Ponce hopes that the teacher will not reclaim his position and that the he will not be employed in other schools.
"Hanggang't maari sana, huwag naman sana dahil maraming bata pa ring [mabibiktima na estudyante]. Kahit ilipat pa rin siya ng eskwelahan, maraming bata pa rin [ang mabibiktima]," he said.
The father said his child is now in good condition and that the latter's scars from the incident have been healed.
