Dr. Eric Tayag has been tapped as the new undersecretary of the Department of Health (DOH), he confirmed on Tuesday.

Prior to this, Tayag was the director of DOH's Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service.

He also served as DOH assistant secretary during the administration of former President Benigno Aquino III. He was a long-time DOH spokesperson and is known for dancing to promote the agency’s campaigns.

As of posting, Malacanang has yet to release Tayag’s appointment papers.
