

The Cavite police on Wednesday, August 23, arrested one of the six suspects in the robbery and hold-upping incident that occurred in a Korean Barbeque restaurant in Imus, Cavite
Based on Cavite Police Provincial Office’s (PPO) report, the suspect was identified as Mel John Rutaquio, a 34-year-old male residing in Pasay City.
Rutaquio was identified after the Cavite PPO backtracked the closed-circuit television (CCTV) and found the plate number of the getaway motor vehicle that he and his cohorts ridden.
“Based on the CCTV footage obtained by this station, it matches to the clothes of the arrested suspect and the one suspect seen on the CCTV footage at the time of incident,” it said.
The Cavite police said it recovered the motor vehicle from the arrested suspect.
According to Cavite PPO, Rutaquio confessed that the leader of their group called Bobby Arao Roberry Hold up is a certain Mark Randolph Cruz or alias “MacMac” or “Kram Kram” and that other suspects were named Rudy and Onyok.
The Cavite Police said its investigation showed that two suspects were armed with undetermined short firearms.
“Case Robbery will be filed against the six (6) suspects,” it said.
At around 11:00 PM on Monday, the six suspects robbed two customers of Samgyupamore restaurant on Aguinaldo Highway in Brgy. Anabu 1-D in Imus City, Cavite.
Cavite PPO said the suspect took away P18,000 cash and other personal items from the customers.
As of this posting, the five suspects remain at large.
