A familiar contender will join a trot singing contest!
'Mr. Trot 2- The Beginning of a New Legend,' TV Chosun's new singing survival show recently released its teaser, publicly introducing contestants for the first time for its upcoming premiere.
In the released photo, the upcoming show's title was placed at the center with contestants' faces surrounding it.
Among all the contenders' faces, Super Junior Sungmin was spotted among all the faces, gathering more interest from the public.
Sungmin is a member of the legendary Korean pop boy group Super Junior debuted in 2005 and served as the lead vocalist, lead dancer, as well as the visuals in the group.
In 2014, Sungmin married musical actress Kim Sa Eun which created a huge buzz for Korean ELFs (Ever Lasting Friends). He is on indefinite hiatus since 2015 since a lot of Korean ELFs opposed his presence in the group's comeback.
While inactive from the group, Sungmn debuted as a solo artist in 2019 with "Orgel" and created his Youtube channel LIUStudio.
He also participated in "A New Star Ball Dance Festival 2022" where he won the first place.
Meanwhile, the first season of "Mr. Trot" gave rise to singer Lim Young Woong who continuously make impressive achievements on various music charts.
The second season will premiere on December 22.
