Super Junior’s Ryeowook announced marriage plans with Ari, a member of now disbanded girl group TAHITI, on Friday, March 29.
In an Instagram post, Ryeowook said he wanted to build a family with the person he has been dating for a while.
“As you are aware, there is someone I am seeing. Over the time we spent together, I naturally developed a desire to become family with her,” he wrote in a handwritten letter translated via Soompi.

The Super Junior member also expressed that it was not a “sudden” decision on his part because he has been thinking about it, adding that he will have his wedding in May.
“This is not a sudden decision but one I’ve been deliberating for a long time, and after long discussion with the members and agency staff, I decided to have my wedding this spring in late May,” he said.
Ryeowook thanked ELFs (Super Junior’s fandom name) for their support and apologized to the fans who were surprised by his announcement.
“I will continue to work hard as Super Junior’s Ryeowook and as singer Ryeowook for all of you who support me performing with the members and want to listen to my singing nevertheless,” he concluded.
Ryeowook’s relationship with TAHITI’s Ari began in 2020.
