Super Junior’s Choi Siwon on Tuesday, February 13, denied the allegations of his involvement in a “scam coin.”

In a Soompi report, Siwon got embroiled in controversy after the Korea Youth Committee, which gave him an award, was entangled in the list of alleged perpetrators of the cryptocurrency scam.

“I wish to express explicitly that I have no involvement with regard to the controversy surrounding the Korea Youth Committee’s Youth Pay,” Siwon said on his YouTube channel community.

The Super Junior member noted that he had “never been appointed” as the youth committee’s ambassador.

“While I have received an award at a ceremony organized by the Korea Youth Committee, this was in recognition of setting a good example for the youth, as intended by the committee, and is unrelated to the current controversy,” he added.

In the same report, Soompi explained that the coin fraud started from a company that baited the public under the pretense of going public.

Siwon cleared that the allegations against him were not true.

“I want to make it clear that I have had no involvement in the Korea Youth Committee’s Youth Pay or any individual’s political activities,” he said.
