The Sumilao farmers already arrived in the City of Manila after they marched from Bukidnon to campaign for the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.
Pangilinan met with the farmers in Baclaran where they signed an agreement to uphold the welfare of the farmers and fisherfolks if Robredo gets elected as president and Pangilinan as vice president.
The Sumilao farmers left Bukidnon in March, a few days after they met with Robredo. The Vice President promised to uphold the rights of farmers under her leadership.
In 2007, the Sumilao farmers also marched to Manila in order to reclaim their land, and Robredo served as one of their lawyers in claiming their rights.
Meanwhile, after the successful campaigning and people's rally in Quezon which was attended by at least 80, 000 supporters, Robredo will be in Laguna.
