by Ellicia Del Mundo23 February 2024

The subpoena directing religious leader Apollo Quiboloy to appear in a Senate hearing was served formally to his legal counsel.

DZRH News was able to obtain a photo of the subpoena ad testificandum received by Atty. Marie Dinah Tolentino Fuentes.

Fuentes signed the subpoena at 1:30 PM on Thursday, February 22.

The hearing into the alleged sexual abuses, violence, and human trafficking in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ under Quiboloy's leadership is set for March 5 at 10 AM.

"Hereby fail not under penalty of law," the subpoena reads.

Senator Risa Hontiveros, the chair of Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, confirmed that the subpoena was released earlier this week shortly after securing Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri's signature.

Quiboloy had hinted in his 36-minute voice message that he is still in the country, staying in his compound in Tamayong, Davao City.
