Philippines' Strong Group Athletics remains undefeated in the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship.
The Filipinos seized their third straight win in the Dubai tournament after beating Homenetmen of Lebanon, 104-95, on Sunday, January 21.
NBA champion Dwight Howard scored 32 points and Kevin Quiambo finished with 19 as they led Strong Group to victory.
A three-point basket by former Meralco Bolts import Zach Lofton sparked an 11-point run that put Homenetmen up, 24-15, in the first quarter.
After trailing throughout the second quarter, back-to-back baskets by Howard and Jordan Heading finally allowed Strong Group to take the lead 58-54. in the third period.
Elijah Holman managed to to bring the lead back to the Lebanese side before a three-point basket by Andray Blatche and a dunk by Howard put the Filipinos up, 81-77, for good.
Lofton chipped in 37 points while Gerard Hadidan added 21 points for Homenetmen.
