Strong Group Athletics overcame Future Sports USA, 112-90, on Thursday, July 18, in the 2024 William Jones Cup in Taiwan.
Chris Mccullough finished with 24 points and 18 rebounds while Tajuan Agee added 19 points for Strong Group to remain undefeated in the tournament after five games.
After ending the first half down by four, 60-56, Strong Group outscored FuturE Sports USA in the third quarter, and grabbed a double-digit advantage, 89-76, going into the final period.
Hammer Moss scored 18 points, and Elliott Ryan chipped in 15 markers for Future Sports USA, which dropped to a 1-3 win-loss record in the tournament.
Prior the game, Strong Group also bested the United Arab Emirates, 104-79; BSBL Guardians of Australia, 91-69; Ukraine, 82-74; and Malaysia, 89-54.
Strong Group Athletics targets to claim win number six when the squad faces the Japan Under-22 team on Friday, July 22.
