Stray Kids’ Felix sustained a pinched nerve from a minor car accident over the weekend, his agency, JYP Entertainment said in an update on Sunday, February 16.

According to its statement, Felix was taken to a hospital near the concert venue for an X-ray examination. The examination revealed that he sustained a fracture. JYP further stated that they visited multiple emergency rooms during the weekend, but the inspection took longer than usual. This is because the accident occurred late at night, and some places had few medical staff.

Felix was eventually transferred to a higher-level general hospital where he underwent an MRI scan and was examined by specialized faculty.

“Upon additional examination, it was determined that the fracture line seen on the initial X-ray was a childhood injury and at the moment there’s a pinched nerve near that area,” its statement read.

On Sunday, the K-pop idol failed to attend Stray Kids’ “SKZ 5’CLOCK’ fan meeting after being injured in a minor car accident the day before. According to JYP’s initial statement, a shuttle bus collided with the left rear side of the vehicle that Felix was in.

Although the accident was minor, the momentary shift in Felix’s weight onto his arm caused him to collide with the car’s armrest, which resulted in a fracture. The idol was immediately taken to the hospital for a thorough examination and was advised to take adequate rest and proper treatment.

“Our artist's health and recovery are our top priority, and we're working closely with the medical team to provide him with the care he needs in the best possible environment,” JYP said.
