There is no foul play involved in the deaths of two female high school students discovered at Signal Village National High School in Taguig City, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
In a statement released Saturday, Nov. 11, PNP said the initial evidence by its team and the Scene of Crime Operation (SOCO) did not indicate foul play.
“The initial evidence gathered by the Philippine National Police-Taguig and the Scene of Crime Operation (SOCO) do not indicate foul play in the deaths of two female high school students whose lifeless bodies were discovered almost midnight of Friday, Nov 10, at Signal Village National High School,” the statement read.
Reports identified the bodies of Mary Nicole Picar, 15, a Grade 10 student, and Irish Sheen Manalo, 13, a Grade 8 student who were both found on the school’s third floor.
A witness who learned that the victims did not get home found their lifeless bodies and reported it to the guards at their school.
PNP urged the public to avoid creating speculations that would worsen the situations of the bereaved families.
It also assured that the probe will continue being conducted “thoroughly and expeditiously.”
