Spotify users will have to pay more in their next subscription bill as Spotify Philippines announced a price increase, effective on December.
Under the premium plans portion on its website, Spotify stated that an individual premium plan now costs ₱149 a month, slightly higher than the previous ₱129.

Those who will be availing the duo premium plan — a plan that grants two accounts for a couple living under one roof — will have to pay ₱199 a month.

A family of six members living under one roof will have to pay for ₱239 from the previous ₱194 under the family premium plan.

Eligible students, who are above the age of 18 and enrolled and studying at an accredited college or university in the country, can still avail of the discounted price ₱75.
Spotify first announced the adjustments in its subscription prices in July this year.
In a newsletter posted on its website, the international streaming platform said changing its premium prices will help them doing innovations amid the evolving market landscape.
"These updates will help us continue to deliver value to fans and artists on our platform," Spotify added.
According to the platform, it has "innovated and invested to build the best audio experience" for its listeners since it was established in 2008.
"With 200+ million Premium subscribers, we’re also proud to be the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, giving Premium users access to on-demand and ad-free music listening offline music downloads, and quality music streaming," it said.
