“It was the end of a decade, but the start of an age” — the famous line from “Long Live” that could represent the sentiments of Swifites around the world upon hearing the re-recorded album “Speak Now”.

On July 7, American pop star icon Taylor Swift dropped her “Speak Now (Taylor’s version)” on all music platforms.

The album comprises 22 tracks — 16 were re-recorded songs and six are additional songs from Taylor’s vault.

Among the six new songs is “Electronic Touch” featuring American rock band Fall Out Boy and “Castles Crumbling” featuring Paramore’s vocalist Hayley Williams.

Other songs from her vault are “When Emma Falls in Love", "I Can See You", "Foolish One", and "Timeless".

In a Twitter post, Taylor recounted that the "Speak Now" album was about her “whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies” that she “lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20.”

“I remember making tracklist after tracklist, obsessing over the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs I am still unfailingly proud of now,” she said.

The American pop star icon earlier revealed that she re-recorded the “Speak Now” album when she was 32 years old.

“[T]he memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation. For life, for you, for the fact that I get to reclaim my work. Thank you a million times, for the memories that break our fall,” she added.

Taylor first re-recorded her second studio album “Fearless ( Taylor’s Version) and this was dropped on April 9, 2021. In this re-recorded album, Taylor also released additional songs from her vault.
