Netflix revealed on Wednesday, January 17, the official trailer for “Spaceman” starring Adam Sandler as Jakub who’s wandering aimlessly in the cosmos and a creature that plans to sort Jakub’s issues with his wife on Earth.

“Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth,” Netflix’s caption read.

“Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late,” it added.

The creature who settles in the body of a huge spider tells Jakub that it would help him in his emotional distress.

Joining Sandler, Mulligan, and Dano are Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini.

“Spaceman” is set to have a world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival before it hits the streaming platform on March 1.
