The country's very own Sorbetes and Halo-Halo wasonce again recognized as one of the best rated frozen desserts worldwide, according to international food guide Taste Atlas.
In the newly-released list of 50 best frozen dessert in the world, Sorbetes or Dirty Ice Cream acquired 4.5 out of 5 rating and was placed as 5th best dessert.
Taste Atlas described the Filipino favorite dessert as an ice cream served in "tiny scoops on sugar cones" and sometimes it is best consumed in bread buns.
"Although it sounds similar to a sorbet, coming from the Spanish sorbete, it is not a sorbet, but a dirty ice cream, as the locals jokingly call it due to the fact that it is sold along polluted streets," the international food guide noted.
