Filipino pride Sohpia Laforteza is an inch closer to her dreams as she is now down to the finale for HYBE Labels and Geffen Records’ talent competition “The Debut: Dream Academy".

Laforteza earned the top spot during the third and final mission of the talent competition.

The remaining three contenders were divided into three groups for the third and final mission, in which the groups were tasked with performing a particular song that could strongly demonstrate their artistry.

In this mission, three songs were given for each group to perform: "Confident" by Demi Lovato, "Buttons" by Pussycat Dolls, and "Wannabe" by Spice Girls.

With their team performing buttons, Sophia was with other members Celeste (Argentina), Nayoung (South Korea), Manon (Switzerland), and Daniela (United States).

During the announcement of results aired on the HYBE LABELS+ YouTube channel, Sophia was ranked one with 45,184 fan votes, allowing her to secure a spot for the program’s finale, which will be held on November 17.

Also on the second mission, Sophia placed first, making her one of the strong contenders for the survival show.

Meanwhile, Celeste, Nayoung, and Ua (Japan) ended their journey to the finale.
