South Korean actor Song Kang is set to enlist in the military, his agency announced Thursday, February 29.
In a Soompi report, Namoo Actors stated that Song Kang will enlist in the military in April.
“Song Kang will be enlisting as an active duty soldier of the [Republic of Korea] Army on Tuesday, April 2,” its statement read.
The agency noted that the actor would enlist privately without any events to be held in the area.
“There will be no official events held when he enters the recruit training center, and he will be enlisting privately to prevent safety accidents due to congestion on site, so we ask for your understanding,” its statement further read.
Song Kang is best known for his hit dramas “Love Alarm,” “Sweet Home,” “Nevertheless,” and “My Demon.”
