Korean actor Song Joong Ki and his wife Katy Louise Saunders embraced parenthood with the arrival of their first child.
High Zium Studio, the agency representing the actor, revealed that the couple has welcomed a baby on June 14 in Italy.
Expressing his excitement, the actor personally shared the delightful update with his dedicated fans through his official fancafe.
"Today, I came here to greet you because I have one more piece of news that feels like a dream, and I wanted to be the first to tell you. Right now, I’m in Italy," the actor said.
Song Joong Ki, known for his roles in films such as "My Name Is Loh Kiwan," and "Hopeless," shared his gratitude for the support he has received throughout his journey.
"Here, in my wife’s hometown of Rome, we happened to welcome our baby. It’s a healthy son.. and both the baby and his mother… are in very good health. As we welcomed [our child] in good health and joy, I am taking care of my family very happily, with a grateful heart," he added.
The actor expressed profound gratitude for the precious gift of their son, a fulfillment of their lifelong dream to create a happy family.
"I think [our son] is the most precious gift to have found its way to us, a married couple whose biggest dream all our lives was to start a happy family.
And I think it’s thanks to the many people who gave us their support that such a happy day has found us. Thank you," the actor expressed.
Song Joong Ki acknowledged the unwavering love and support of his dedicated fans, known as Ki Aile, whose presence has played a significant role in their happiness.
