A victim had the chance to grab the motorcycle of the suspect who took his cellphone, according to Las Piñas Chief Col. Jaime Santos.
In a video statement sent to reporters on Sunday, Oct. 29, the victim, Mark Russel Zapata was in Alabang Zapote Road when his cell phone was snatched, but he pulled the snatcher and so they wrestled.
Zapata got a chance to get the key to the motorcycle from the suspect, so he quickly started it and went straight to the Las Piñas Police Station to report what happened.
The Las Piñas Chief said the snatched cellphone is worth P10,000, while the suspect's motorcycle is in the victim's possession.
"Napakapambihirang kaso po nito," said Santos.
Zapanta claimed he learned the move through popular social media platform, TikTok.
The police are hunting the suspect at his house in Bacoor, Cavite.
