Smog forces MPBL to cancel games
by Kristan Carag23 September 2023
The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League rescheduled two games, initially set for Friday, September 22.
MPBL set October 3 as the tentative date for the game between Bacoor City Strikers, and Batangas City Embassy Chill, as well as the match between Quezon Huskers and Marikina Shoemasters.
The league decided to suspend all three games at the Marikina Sports Center on Friday due to 'health concerns' regarding the smog that covered Metro Manila.
Meanwhile, MPBL Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes decided to completely cancell the game between Laguna Krah Asia, and Manila Stars since both teams no longer have a chance to advance to the playoffs.
