Motorists passing through the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) will have to brace for a higher toll rate starting tomorrow, November 3.
Beginning Friday, drivers traveling from Alabang to Calamba will see an additional charge of PHP 10 for Class 1 vehicles, PHP 20 for Class 2 vehicles, and PHP 30 for Class 3 vehicles.
Meanwhile, those who are traveling from Calamba to Sto. Tomas, Batangas will pay an additional PHP 4 for Class 1, PHP 6 for Class 2, and PHP 8 for Class 3 vehicles.
The increase is based on the petitions on periodic toll rate Adjustments for 2012 and 2014, according to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).
In a separate statement, TRB also announced an increase in the toll rate in Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) toll rate.
Drivers traveling through MCX will now pay PHP 18 for Class 1 vehicles, PHP 37 for Class 2 vehicles, and PHP 55 for Class 3 vehicles.
TRB said the provisional increase is pursuant to the petitions for toll Rate Adjustments for 2018 and 2020.
