Six provinces placed under Alert Level 3

Six more areas have been placed under Alert Level 3 from January 28 to February 15 following the surge of COVID-19 cases in these regions.
On Thursday, acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles announced that the areas of Palawan, Camiguin, Davao Occidental, Dinagat Islands, Tawi-Tawi, and Sulu would be escalated to Alert Level 3.
These areas are previously under Alert Level 2. Palawan's capital city Puerto Princesa was earlier placed under Alert Level 3 until Jan. 31.
On Thursday, the Philippines logged 18,191, showing a general downward trend from the previous weeks’ high of 37,000.
