MANILA – This holiday season, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko took on the challenge by cooking one of the Philippines’ favorite soup dishes – Sinigang!
In a video uploaded on the embassy’s Facebook page, Ambassador Koshikawa decided to spread some cheer by exploring the rich culinary traditions of the Philippines, preparing the famous Sinigang – with a twist!
Using Kamias as one of the main ingredients of the dish, the Ambassador went to his garden and picked out the freshest Kamias, together with his special ingredients: salted water, Mirin (a type of rice wine and a common ingredient in Japanese cooking), sake, and soy sauce.
