More than 99 million Filipino mobile users have successfully registered their Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said on Friday.

In a statement, DICT said SIM card registrants have reached 99,289,484 as of Tuesday, June 13.

Of this number, at least 6,815,763 DITO Telecommunity subscribers have registered their SIMs.

Meanwhile, about 45,545,173 mobile users have registered their Globe SIM cards and 46,928,548 mobile users with SMART.

The DICT urged the public to register before the deadline scheduled on July 25.

“Please be reminded that all unregistered SIMs shall be automatically deactivated, and will not be able to use digital apps and other services that require two-step verification,” it warned.

The agency said any complaints and concerns can be raised through its telephone number 1326.

Earlier, President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. approved the extension of the SIM Card registration for 90 days or two months to give subscribers ample of time to register.
