Three people perished in a shoot-out on Saturday, January 20, in Brgy. Bahay Pare, Meycauyan City, Bulacan.
The Bulacan Provincial Police Office said that cops responded to a call, and found two armed men firing indiscriminately towards the barangay hall of Brgy. Bahay Pare.
The armed men opened fire at the police which prompted law enforcement units to return fire, and resulted to the death of the two assailants.
A barangay watchman also perished due to a stray bullet.
Police linked the attack to the arrest of four individuals last January 19 at Barangay Bahay Pare for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The Bulacan Provincial Police Office said that barangay watchmen carried out the arrest.
