A passenger was rescued after falling off a ship that was en route to Calapan from Batangas on Tuesday, March 26.

According to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), the passenger of Montenegro Santa Brigid ship was found by a fisherman.
"Ayon sa pinadalang report ng nasabing barko, natagpuan ng isang mangingisda ang nasabing pasahero. Agad naman itong naisalba ng mangingisda at naisakay pabalik sa nasabing sasakyang pandagat," PPA said.
The Port Management Office Mindoro reportedly called Calapan City Safety Department for immediate medical assistance.
The PPA said the port police officers removed all barriers at the ship's port ramp so that the ambulance enter and exit the port.
The rescued passenger was immediately taken to the nearest hospital.
