The logo change was changed by Twitter Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk.
He confirmed this in a Twitter post wherein he uploaded a photo of his conversation with a user who challenged him to buy the platform and change the bird logo to a doge.
"As promised," Musk captioned in the post.

As of writing, Musk has yet announced if users will bid goodbye to the bird logo forever and if the Shiba Inu logo will be permanent.
The Shiba Inu Twitter logo is similar to the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, the first "dog coin" in the world.
According to reports, the price of the Dogecoin spiked more than 20% after the Twitter logo was changed.
