Philippine National Police (PNP) Deputy Chief for Administration Lieutenant General Rhodel Sermonia denied the accusations of former chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr.’s accusation of “spreading lies” on the latter's deportation issue in Canada.
In a statement issued by Sermonia, he said that Azurin has been fed false stories again to bring his name to the unverified reports of the former PNP chief’s deportation issue, adding that he has no reason to do the thing he has been accused of.
According to the PNP deputy chief, he would rather not dignify the accusations with a reply, as it can be interpreted negatively.
He added that it is better to directly ask the Canadian Embassy about the reason for questioning Azurin that made him decide to return to the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Azurin blamed Sermonia for spreading false information about him being held by Canadian immigration in hopes of deporting him back to the Philippines.
