Serbia booked the first ticket to the finals of the 2023 FIBA World Cup after defeating Canada on Friday, September 8, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 23 points while Nikola Milutinov and Ognjen Dobric both chipped in 16 points for Serbia to once again advance to the World Cup finals since 2014.

Serbia never let go of the lead after an 11-point run put the team up, 21-13, in the first quarter.

In the last two minutes, Serbia went scoreless but the late rally of Canadians fell short of making a comeback and stealing the victory from their opponents.
