Senator Bong Go, once again, resurrects his proposal to form a Department of Disaster Resilience and to put evacuation centers in every municipality amid the great destruction of Paeng in the country that left 80 people dead.

Under proposed Senate Bill 193, it is mandatory to build a clean and safe evacuation centers in every municipality, city and province across the country.

In line with this, another proposal namely Senate Bill 188 by Senator Go focuses on forming a Department of Disaster Resilience.

The 3 researches of this department are disaster risk reduction, disaster preparedness and response, as well as, recovery and building forward better.
