The Senate Committee on Finance quickly approved the proposed 2024 budget of the Office of the President (OP) which was only presented for 30 minutes headed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
Immediately endorsed by Senator Sonny Angara, the OP’s 2024 proposed budget amounted to P10.7 billion, which is P1.6 billion pesos higher compared to this year’s P9 billion budget.
During the deliberation, Angara said that there were no calls, which means that the proposed budget has been favored and has been swiftly endorsed for plenary consideration.
According to Bersamin, the proposed allocation is believed to be enough for the president to meet his demands as the leader of the government.
No Senator was present during the deliberation apart from Angara.
