The Senate panel investigating illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) convened in an executive session on Tuesday, September 24, where dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo vowed to reveal the mastermind behind the crimes associated with POGOs, claiming she is merely a victim.

“Your honor, hindi po ako mastermind. Masasabi ko po isa po akong victim,” Guo said.

Senator JV Ejercito expressed his hope that if an executive session is to occur, Guo would reveal the identity of the alleged mastermind or the 'most guilty' individuals involved in the illegal POGOs in the country.

“May pagkakataon pa kayong sabihin kung sinuman ‘yung talagang nasa likuran. Kasi nga kung sabi mo ikaw ay biktima, maawa rin tayo sa naging biktima ng POGO,” Ejercito told Guo.

Ejercito reiterated that any information revealed during the executive session would not be disclosed to the public or the media. He also acknowledged the fear that Guo might be experiencing.

"Para din mabawasan siguro ‘yung kasalanan mo kung sakali sa executive session ay willing ka bang sabihin kung sino ‘yung most guilty na sinasabi mo?" Ejercito asked.

“Yes po, your honor," Guo answered.

After Committee Chairman Risa Hontiveros delivered her closing statement, Senator Francis Tolentino noted that, in response to Guo's request during the previous hearing, he had made an office available for conducting the executive session if she wishes to proceed with it.

"I’m very thankful po for the opportunity po. However, gusto ko po sana kasama ‘yung counsel ko. Request ko lang po," Guo answered.

Guo further stated that her legal counsels are currently in Cebu and will return on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa expressed his concerns that if another opportunity for an executive session is provided in the next hearing, Guo's condition might worsen, leading to medical reasons that could prevent her from attending.

Risa Hontiveros agreed, stating, “Napapanahon na. Nandito na ‘yung lugar. Ni-reassure kayo muli ni Senator dela Rosa."

“I will really advice you to take advantage of this moment opportunity today," she added.
