The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to gather information and prepare for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
PMGen Valeriano De Leon, PNP director for operations, said that the police have yet to perceive any serious threat to the security of the upcoming event on Thursday, June 30, at the National Museum of the Philippines.
"We continue to receive some information that needs to be validated," De Leon said on Monday, June 27, during DZRH's Damdaming Bayan.
De Leon assured that the PNP and other uniformed services have taken steps to respond to any attempt to disrupt the oath-taking of the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines.
"The world will be watching us. Kailangan ipakita natin ang ating disiplina, ipakita natin ang ating pag-conduct ng orderly and safe activities dito sa ating bansa," De Leon stressed.
