One security guard was killed, and at least 10 others were injured during a chaotic takeover at the clubhouse of BF Resort Village Homeowners Association Inc. (BFRVHAI) on Wednesday morning, March 4.

BFRVHAI President Euan Toralballa confirmed that a 47-year-old female security guard died amid tensions as more than 30 sheriffs attempted to serve a court order directing the turnover of the association’s clubhouse and security office. The order is reportedly related to the corporate term and leadership dispute within the homeowners’ association.

Initial investigation indicated that the guard lost consciousness and collapsed during the commotion. However, a relative alleged that the victim fell to the ground and was stepped on during the chaos before being rushed to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

Around 10 individuals from the association’s camp were reported injured, including Toralballa, who sustained minor injuries. Parts of the clubhouse were damaged, with shattered glass seen at the site, while tense negotiations continued over the security office.

“Ayaw namin eh gulo... Ang pakiusap namin, maging kalmado ang lahat pati po sana ang kapulisan, barangay, mga na-identified na individuals, pati yung ibang kawani ng gobyerno, sana po kalmado lang at hindi mauwi sa gulo," Toralballa said.

The incident stemmed from what association officials described as a “forcible takeover,” allegedly carried out without a formal transition process. Some residents claimed financial motives behind the takeover and alleged that influential individuals were backing newly installed officials.

Newly proclaimed President Jose Deo Aguinaldo denied the allegations.

Tension remains high in the village as authorities continue to monitor the situation and investigate the circumstances surrounding the guard’s death.
