The investigator informed the parties of the required documents, including the affidavit and other relevant papers.
Furthermore, the security guard and his employer have been given until January 23 to submit their official response as the preliminary investigation moves forward.
Earlier, PLt. Col. Eudisan Gultiano, Spokesperson for the PNP Civil Security Group, stated that the involved security guard in the viral video will be summoned to provide an explanation regarding the footage.
The security guard could face suspension or have his license revoked if a violation is proven.
In the viral video, the security guard was seen destroying the sampaguita flowers sold by the vendor while forcibly escorting her out of the mall. He was also seen kicking the 18-year-old seller.
In response, the young girl hit the security guard with the damaged sampaguita she was attempting to sell.
Following the incident, the management of SM Megamall dismissed the security guard, condemning his actions and reaffirming their commitment to promoting inclusivity.
