The search and rescue operations (SAR) continue for the four individuals who were reported missing after a diving yacht submerged within the waters of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in Palawan on Sunday, April 30.
"WESCOM already intensified its search and rescue (SAR) efforts and has collaborated with other government agencies and the US counterparts in the area to assist in the ongoing SAR operations," the Western Command Armed Forces of the Philippines (Wescom) said in an update on Wednesday, four days after the incident.
Meanwhile, WesCom also reported that 11 out of the 28 rescued passengers have safely returned in Manila via Philippine Air Force (PAF) C295 aircraft while the remaining were transported through commercial flights.
"Some of them, mostly Dream Keeper crewmembers, remained in Puerto Princesa City," it said.
The dive yacht M/Y Dream Keeper sank at 6:49 am on April 30, according to the initial report from the PCG Palawan District.
The Coast Guard said the dive yacht left Remegio, Cebu at 4 pm on 27 April and it arrived at Tubbataha Reef at 10 pm on April 29.
