Six-time PBA champion Sean Chambers takes the helm of the Far Eastern University Tamaraws men's basketball team.
Chambers will fill in the void left by Coach Denok Miranda who will now serve as the head of the FEU basketball program, and 'will oversee the development of all FEU basketball teams from the Junior High up to the Collegiate level'.
"After a successful playing career in the PBA, Coach Sean is excited to return to the Philippines, his second home and brings with him a wealth of experience with a career dedicated to education, coaching, and mentoring the youth," FEU said in a Facebook post.
As a player, Chambers won six PBA championships with the Alaska franchise from 1989 until 2001.
The 1996 PBA Governor's Cup Best Import also currently serves as an assistant coach for the TNT Tropang Giga.
The Tamaraws are preparing to compete in the men's basketball tournament of UAAP Season 87, and they hope to regain the title that they last held in 2015.
