The Philippines' medal count in the 2023 Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia continues to rise as Arlan Arbois, Christine Hallasgo, and Andrew Kim Remolino added three more medals to the country's collection on Saturday morning.

In the men's marathon event, Arbois showcased an impressive performance and completed the race with a time of 2 hours, 33 minutes, and 27 seconds.

The Filipino marathoner finished second, just a few seconds behind Indonesia's Agus Prayogo, who clocked in at 2 hours, 32 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Vietnam's Nguyen Thanh Hoang claimed the bronze medal with a time of 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 49 seconds.

In the women's marathon, Christine Hallasgo also demonstrated her exceptional skills and registered a time of 2 hours, 50 minutes, and 27 seconds to clinch the bronze medal.

Indonesia's Odekta Naibaho topped the event with a time of 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 14 seconds, while Vietnam's Thi Tuyet Le secured the silver with a time of 2 hours, 49 minutes, and 21 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the Aquathlon event, Andrew Kim Remolino made a podium finish and claimed the silver medal with a time of 15 minutes and 7 seconds.

The Filipino athlete was only a few seconds behind Indonesia's Rashif Yaqin, who won the gold medal with a time of 14 minutes and 28 seconds.

Singapore's Bryce Sheng Cher Chong finished in third place with a time of 15 minutes and 39 seconds.

With these three latest medals, the Philippines now has a total of at least four golds, six silvers, and four bronzes in the ongoing biennial meet.
