Motorists passing through Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) will have to pay higher toll fees starting Tuesday, Oct. 17.
In a statement posted on Saturday, Oct. 14, NLEX Corporation said the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) approved the implementation of the additional ₱0.64 per kilometer (km) in SCTEX.
“The new rates are part of the authorized SCTEX periodic adjustment due in 2021 and 2023, and were approved following proper regulatory procedures and thorough review by the TRB,” it said.
“TRB and SCTEX agreed to implement the adjustments in tranches to help cushion their impact on the users of the expressway, and this will be the first of three tranches,” NLEX Corporation added
With the approval, the additional charges for Class 1, 2, and 3 vehicles in the following route will be:
Travel between Mabalacat City to Tarlac
- Class 1 - ₱25
- Class 2 - ₱50
- Class 3 - ₱75
Travel between Mabalacat City and Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan (near Subic Freeport)
- Class 1 - ₱40
- Class 2 - ₱81
- Class 3 - ₱121
Travel end-to-end between Tipo, Hermosa, Bataan (near Subic Freeport) to Tarlac
- Class 1 - ₱65
- Class 2 - ₱131
- Class 3 - ₱19
