Juliet Dayta, a mother who was only told to attend the graduation ceremony of her daughter, Ayissha Dayta, could not believe that she will be walking up on stage for her child's award, making her the center of attention during the event.
Ayissha obtained the highest honors on her graduation and her mother had no idea that she will be graduating with flying colors.
In an interview with DZRH News Digital, Ayissha, said that she only told her mom to attend the commencement exercises but did not mention the greatest award she got throughout her studies.
"Di ko po sinabi sa kanya para surprise po sya. Sinabi ko lang na attend lang sila ng ate ko sa graduation," she said.
The moment Ayissha's name was called, Juliet was left surprised and it was a mix of emotions when she walked up on stage, which refers to the viral video she posted.
"Nung tinawag po ako sa stage para irecieve ang award nabigla po ang mama ko. Di mga po agad sya nyan nakatayo sa upuan kasi medyo natulala sya kaya nung pag-akyat nya sa stage medyo lutang dahil sa excitement. Halong suprised, excitement and kaba ang nafeel ng mama ko jan," Ayissha told DZRH News Digital.
It was the happiest yet funny one for the mother and daughter as they both have a candid moment up on stage.
According to Ayissha, due to the surprise award, she gifted her mother, Juliet cannot focus on what to do with the medal.
"Nung ibinigay na sa kanya ang medal di nya na po naisip isabit saken dahil sa tuwa nya and akala nya magpipicture nalang," she stated.

Ayissha gave a piece of advice to students who are struggling to finish college.
"Ang maipapayo ko lang sa mga mag-aaral ngayon para sila’y makapagtapos ay think about your parent’s sacrifice," she said.
"Focus on your goals. Double your efforts but don’t try to be perfect. Just enjoy the journey and always have patience. Your future self will thank you for late," she added.
With her major undisclosed, Ayissha graduated from the Colegio De Amore in Trece Martires City, Cavite on December 15.
Meanwhile, the video of the precious and candid moment for Juliet and Ayissha on that very special day reached 2.1 million views on reels.
