The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will continue to affect Luzon and the western parts of Visayas on Sunday, bringing rain showers and thunderstorms over several areas the weather bureau said in a forecast.
In a 4:00AM bulletin by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), it reported that scattered rains and thunderstorms would continue over the Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan. The southwest monsoon would bring moderate to heavy rains, which may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
In Metro Manila isolated rains would continue to persist from the afternoon until the evening.
Additionally, for the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with the possibility of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms intensified by the Southwest Monsoon.
PAGASA noted that landslides and flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods and landslides may also occur in areas prone to hazards.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said that the country has no gale warning.
