The Supreme Court (SC) allowed court personnel to have an early dismissal at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, to let them travel and reunite with their families for the New Year.

“[T]he Supreme Court Clerk of Court, the Presiding Justices of the Appellate Courts, and the Court Administrator in coordination with the Executive Judges, are authorized to allow early dismissal tomorrow, December 29, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. taking consideration the needs of the service and their court calendars,” the SC’s memorandum read.

The high tribunal added that the Court Administrator should make sure the courts’ trunkline numbers, particularly the night courts, are uploaded to its website and sent to prosecutors’ offices, public attorneys offices, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Chapters.

“No one arrested without a warrant or detained for bailable offenses should be prejudiced by the early dismissal or the holidays,” it added.
