P-pop Kings SB19’s mics were on and at full blast as they captivated listeners with their hit single, ‘GENTO’ on the Japanese YouTube channel, The First Take.
Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin are officially the first Filipino act to ever grace the studio of the channel on its 449th episode. The First Take is known for featuring local and foreign artists who must abide by their one rule: that they capture the moment and sound inside the white studio, all in one take.

YOASOBI, LiSA, Stray Kids, Avril Lavigne, Måneskin and other talents have all been invited to sing a rendition of their songs on the channel. Following the exclusive one-shot takes from the artists, SB19 exceeded expectations on Monday, and triumphantly won over the listeners with just their voices.
The exclusive performance has been on the trends list since its release, and is currently trending at number 12 on YouTube, with 1.3M views.
In 2023, GENTO went viral on TikTok, gaining attention from various celebrities, both locally and internationally, for its addictive beat and unique choreography.
Meanwhile, SB19 is the first Southeast Asian artist to be nominated for the Top Social Artist at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and is currently nominated for the Favorite Asian Act in the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards 2024.
