A magnitude 4.5 earthquake rocked Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental on Tuesday morning, April 30, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs reported that the quake hit 92 kilometers (km) S 64° E of Sarangani Island in the Municipality of Sarangani at around 6:24 AM.

The magnitude 4.5 earthquake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 42 km.

The state seismologist said no damages and aftershocks are expected.
